
Some of the weird laws that are still in effect would surprise most people. We can’t explain why the weird laws are still “on the books,” but we enjoyed reading and researching them. Some of them seem obvious, others more comical, while some are just plain weird. For example, why is it prohibited to play dominoes in Alabama on a Sunday? So weird!

ALABAMA
- In Alabama, bear wrestling matches are prohibited. #WeirdLawWednesday
- In Alabama, it is illegal for a driver to be blindfolded while operating a vehicle. #WeirdLawWednesday
- In Alabama, Dominoes may not be played on Sunday. #WeirdLawWednesday
ALASKA
- In Alaska, waking a sleeping bear for a photo is strictly forbidden. #WeirdLawWednesday

ARIZONA
- In Arizona, you can get up to 25 years in prison for cutting down a Saguaro cactus. #WeirdLawWednesday

- In San Jose and Sunnyvale, California, it is illegal for grocery stores to provide plastic bags. #WeirdLawWednesday
CONNECTICUT
- In Connecticut, it is illegal to walk across a street on your hands. #WeirdLawWednesday
FLORIDA
- In Florida, it is illegal for parents to sell their children. #WeirdLawWednesday
HAWAII
- In Hawaii, billboards or any outdoor advertising is illegal… However, there are 18 exceptions to this law. #WeirdLawWednesday
IDAHO
- In Idaho, cannibalism is illegal if a person willfully ingests flesh or blood. However, it is ok if it is under extreme conditions as the only means of survival. #WeirdLawWednesday
- In Idaho, it is illegal for a man to give his sweetheart a box of candy weighing more than 50 lbs. #WeirdLawWednesday
KENTUCKY
- In Kentucky, it is illegal to paint your lawn red. #WeirdLawWednesday

MAINE

NORTH CAROLINA
- In North Carolina, a bingo game can only last up to five hours. #WeirdLawWednesday

SOUTH CAROLINA

TENNESSEE
