Special Counsel Teams up with HNBA to Make a Difference

SC Diversity Logo

At Special Counsel, we are committed to making a difference in the legal community by recruiting, hiring, retaining and promoting the very best employees and candidates — regardless of background, race, ethnicity or other differences. We maintain strong relationships with a wide range of national and local legal associations in order to continuously grow our networks of legal professionals and to strengthen our commitment to diversity in our hiring practices.

As part of our commitment, Special Counsel has partnered with the Hispanic National Bar Association to join them in their mission to promote and facilitate educational programs, by providing scholarship and financial support to individuals from underrepresented communities to pursue legal careers. Our collaboration has resulted in the Special Counsel – HNBA Legal Education Fund law school scholarships.

This year, we are proud to award three 3-year scholarships of $7,500 to the following deserving Hispanic law students. Leidy J. Gutierrez, Benjamin Mejia, and Sarah Trevino representing New Jersey, New York and Georgia have outstanding academic records and breathtaking stories of hardship and their efforts to overcome those challenges, and, most importantly, how they anticipate their legal training will help them to contribute long term.

Special Counsel congratulates the winners of the Special Counsel – HBNA Legal Education Fund law school scholarships and looks forward to seeing them excel in their legal careers.
