A woman’s work is never done. According to the 2018 Mother’s Day Index, mom’s overall “annual wage” increased 1.9% to $68,875, but they spend 148 hours each week performing tasks around the house and taking care of the kids. So this Mother’s Day, Special Counsel celebrates the amazing women that are full time attorneys and full-time mothers, and highlight the work they do outside of the office.
In honor of Mother’s Day, we asked six women to speak candidly about life as a mom, and how they balance their professional and personal responsibilities. What they didn’t realize, though, was that they were about to receive a performance review. Someone important is about to give each of these mothers a deeply honest assessment of their work. So while it may be a bumpy ride with some burnt pancakes along the way, remember to slow down and enjoy the little moments you have with your kids. And know that you are appreciated and loved.
Happy Mother’s Day from Special Counsel!
