Special Counsel would like to congratulate the law firms that have earned a place on the 2016 Working Mother & Flex-Time Lawyers Best Law Firms for Women list! Since 2007, the annual list has honored outstanding law firms around the country that lead the industry in supporting women lawyers in building successful careers. Factors considered include advancing women in business and career advancement, while offering flexible work arrangements, generous paid parental leave, among other important benefits.
Law firms are selected after completing an application that includes more than 300 questions about workforce representation, time-off and leave, childcare, flexibility, percent of women in leadership, compensation and advancement of women, and development and retention of women. Among the firms listed, women account for 20 percent of all equity partners and hold 25 percent of the seats on executive and finance committees.
Firms that received the best law firms for women award will be honored in Chicago on Sept. 21 at the Working Mother/Flex-Time Lawyers Gala Awards Luncheon. The event will host attorneys, peers, and general counsel from the Working Mother Best Companies list.
